台積電首度宣示 與蘋果緊密合作
台積電25日在技術論壇揭露蘋果i8手機新趨勢，除對外宣告獨家為蘋果代工應用於i8的新世代A11處理器。其次，對近期要加速推動晶圓代工事業獨立成立新公司的三星電子，予以重炮還擊。
台積電首先針對今年智慧型手機市場發展減緩至6%，遠不及DRAM和NAND Flash產業二位數的成長，並低於半導體產業年增7%的成長率，主因今年手機規格做了相當大的轉變。並表示，在三星將新手機螢幕尺寸改為18.5比9後，讓非蘋陣營全數更改設計，使原本第2季要上市的新品，遞延至第3季的7月才會推出。另外，蘋果將home鍵拿掉，改成以光學式指紋辦識晶片，取代傳統電容式指紋辨識晶片，直接在螢幕上完成指紋辨識，這部分目前來看三星等其他廠商仍無法跟上此技術。(新聞來源:經濟日報)
