華為注資英國半導體公司XMOS

華為(Huawei)向一家英國科技公司進行了首次股權投資，此外，還包括德國工業供應商博世(Bosch)和美國技術製造商賽靈思(Xilinx)也對位於布里斯托爾的半導體公司XMOS作出了“戰略性”投資。這3家企業參加了該晶片設計公司一輪2,600萬美元的融資，使得XMOS的估值超過1億美元。新的投資將讓該公司與華為和博世等集團建立緊密聯繫，未來這些集團有可能成為華為的大客戶。據悉，成立於2005年的半導體設計公司XMOS專擅用於“物聯網”產品的高性能晶片，這些產品包括嵌入了可聯網感測器的個人電子產品及家用電器。先前華為已收購了2家歐洲公司——2012年收購英國的CIP Technologies，2013收購比利時的Caliopa，並表示今年將對英國大學的研究投資1,000萬英鎊，並計畫在布里斯托爾開設一個研發中心。(來源：金融時報)
