景碩考慮在馬來西亞設立 IC載板廠

日經報導，輝達(Nvidia)和超微(AMD)的台灣供應商景碩正考慮在馬來西亞檳城設載板廠，可能與多家公司一起加入半導體供應鏈。根據消息指出，景碩於檳城租了一家工廠，最早將於今年第2季開始嘗試基板生產的測試和品質控制。
影響分析
馬來西亞過去於半導體的累積並未隨著台灣、韓國與中國大陸廠商的崛起而萎縮，尤其在封測領域，仍是日月光、華天、Amkor、通富微與UTAC等主要廠商選擇多元生產據點的選項，並主要集中於西部沿海州，尤其是檳城Penang一帶。
IC載板與封測廠息息相關，馬來西亞於封測所形成的聚落對載板生產的考量原本就是個優勢，除了早期投入的Ibiden之外，近期開始投資的AT&S亦將於2024加入生產的行列。由於景碩亦為全球知名的載板廠，倘若其評估與規劃能有好的結果並且順利落地，連同Ibiden與AT&S的產能，馬來西亞的載板產值將成長至一定的規模，並於全球版圖當中具有一席之地。
