【產業動態】傳LG正與京東方合作開發可捲曲面板，明年新機將首發

LG電子公司內部消息人士向TheElec透露，該公司計畫在明年年初推出一款可翻卷的智慧手機，該項目被稱為B項目。
LG已經開始在平澤的工廠生產原型機，大多數商業產品需要進行三到四次的試生產，每一次試產大約生產1000到2000件產品。
LG的移動業務迄今已連續20個季度虧損。該消息人士稱，專案B正在著手重建其在消費者心目中的品牌形象，並提升業務士氣。這款將於2021年上半年發佈的旗艦手機代號為“彩虹”。
這款可翻卷的智慧手機在使用時可像卷軸一樣從側面展開，因此項特性需要OLED實現，LG正與京東方共同開發這款柔性面板。消息人士表示，可翻卷面板未必比當下的可折疊面板難實現，從某種角度而言，可翻卷面板承受持續壓力的面積大於可折疊面板，但設備的設計和材料必須支撐這款面板。（新聞來源：TP世界）
