The PCB plant, Tripod-tech’s profit-earning per share temporarily surpassed its peers in 2019. Overall, the annual gross operating profit in 2019 was NT$11.266 billion, with an annual growth of 15.4% and the operating profit reached NT$6.771 billion, with an annual growth of 24.9%. The gross profit margin amounted to 20.7%, with an annual increase of approximately 2 percent. As observed, the company benefited from product mix optimization and scale improvements and its profit in 2019, therefore, it set a new high

Considering the future, Tripod-tech suggested that its factory in mainland China will be restored in full scale to regular production and steadily resume operations after the working days return to normal. Therefore, operations in the second quarter should continue to improve compared to the first quarter but it would still take time to observe the market situations in Europe, America, Northeast Asia, etc., due to the subsequent development of epidemic prevention in the related areas.

Tripod-tech’s Xiantao plant in Hubei has already confirmed the policy of local government so it resumed work on the 11th of March, not to mention the fact that the Wuxi plant has previously worked with normal production for some time. Therefore, the Wuxi and other plants in Taiwan can be dispatched mutually for support and the overall production conditions have become stable.

Tripod-tech’s production capacity includes manufacturing plants on both sides of the Taiwan Straits. Apart from the Taiwan factory, the Wuxi factory in the mainland previously resumed an operation rate of over 80% at the end of February and the enhanced and orderly resumption of work at the Wuxi Plant in February has also become a standard case for local policy propaganda.

According to Tripod-tech’s statistics, the proportion of the first three categories of applications changed in 2019, with terminal applications for automotive electronics accounting for 20.2%, followed by handheld devices for 16.9%, and servers and Netcom for approximately 16.3%. In 2019, server, Netcom, and DRAM/SSD applications accounted for a relatively large growth while the proportion of TFT applications gradually decreased to 14.3%.
