蘋果高通意外和解 停全球所有訴訟 或早於預期推出5G手機

蘋果和高通決定和解專利使用費的糾紛。兩家公司聯合發布的聲明稱，高通和蘋果已經達成協議，放棄在全球層面的所有法律訴訟。 受消息帶動，高通股價收市暴漲23%，市後時段續升逾6%；蘋果股價則表現平穩，收市微升0.01%。
高通稱，與蘋果的和解協議將終結所有正在進行的訴訟，包括與蘋果設備合約製造商的訴訟。兩家公司已經達成了為期六年的全球專利授權合約，已在2019年4月1日生效，並有兩年的延期選項。蘋果將向高通支付一筆一次性的款項，兩家公司還達成了一份多年的晶片組供應協議，但上述具體金額均未知。
本週一開始，蘋果和高通雙方律師在美國加州聖地牙哥的聯邦法院出庭控辯，案情涉及300億美元的專利使用費，原告是蘋果及四家合約製造商，被告是高通。原本市場預計該案的審判會持續到5月，沒想到兩家公司突然宣佈達成和解協定。該案法官對陪審團表示，該協議將「允許兩家科技公司重新開展業務」。
此前審理過程中透露的資料顯示，蘋果在2010年到2016年為高通晶片支付了161億美元，以及72.3億美元的專利許可費。蘋果的律師認為，高通從2013年起利用「壟斷能力」強迫客戶支付了兩倍的「不公平價格」，高通則認為，蘋果是「矽谷最大的霸淩者」，強迫晶片製造商接受更少的專利使用費，而忽略了後者對智慧手機的貢獻。(新聞來源:香港01)
