【國際】聯合國：全球人工智能競賽，美中獨占鰲頭

聯合國世界智慧財產權組織1月31日公佈研究指出，中國大陸和美國在全球人工智能（AI）競賽居領先地位。這項研究指出，美國科技巨擘IBM擁有最多AI專利，達8,920項，超過微軟的5,930項，以及一群日本科技集團。
全球AI專利勝出的前20個學術機構中，中國大陸就佔了17個機構，且在“深度學習”這塊迅速成長的領域尤其強大。此領域涵蓋語音辨識系統。聯合國世界智慧財產權組織（U.N。世界知識產權組織（WIPO）秘書長葛里（Francis Gurry）在記者會說：「美國和中國大陸顯然搶得領先，他們在專利申請數量和科學發表保有領先。」
聯合國世界智慧財產權組織也指出，人工智能專利申請近年來大增，當中超過半數是在2013年後申請。葛里在日內瓦告訴記者：「自約2013年來就大幅成長。」
葛里聲明說：「我們預期新人工智慧產品，申請和科技將大量出現，這將改變我們的日常生活，以及形塑未來人類和所造機器的互動。」（新聞來源：科技新報）
