MediaTek and Generalplus Technology, the leaders in IC design, both debuted AI (Artificial Intelligence) smart chips at the 20th annual CES. MediaTek displayed a variety of AI terminal product solutions this year, covering smart TV AI imaging quality technology, AI vision, and AI voice interaction platforms for smart speakers. Generalplus Technology also launched several AI smart chips. AI smart facial recognition and follow-me drones have been confirmed for use by Chinese customers and are expected to be mass-produced in Q1 this year.

This year’s CES exhibition focused on AI, 5G, self-driving, car networking, and other related applications. Although the US-China trade war has transformed large Chinese factories into low-key players or even caused them to be absent from the show, the spotlight has continued to focus on technology trends. MediaTek highlighted AI and automobile chip platform solutions in the venue this year, including the latest generation of smart TV AI picture quality (AI PQ) technology, MT8175 AI vision platforms for smart displays and smart cameras, and MT8518AI voice interaction platforms for portable smart speakers.

Generalplus Technology showcased a variety of cutting-edge computing AI multimedia integration solutions, including AI smart, face-locked selfie drone solutions, AI smart hand gesture control solutions, AI voice recognition technology, and a variety of smart toy multimedia integration products such as AI smart pets, AI self-propelled vehicles etc. (News source: United Evening News)
