【台灣】佈局5G高通專利 稱冠外商

經濟部智慧局近日公佈今年第三季智慧財產權趨勢，台積電繼續稱霸本國法人發明專利冠軍，高通則因5G技術佈局、允諾在台投資等因素，摘下第三季外國法人第一。
智慧局統計，台積電與高通今年前三季發明專利的申請量分別成長17%、104%，高通今年已申請819件，去年第四季起單季成長幅度皆有55-133%，第三季年增率73%，成長幅度相當大，展現在台積極佈局。
智慧局長洪淑敏分析，高通申請出現大幅成長應與5G技術佈局有關。高通去年遭公平會裁罰逾200億新台幣，最終以投資台灣7億美元取代，而兌現在台投資前，必須先佈局專利，保護智慧財產權。
此外，鴻海第三季發明專利申請量下滑到本國法人前10大排行第7，減少55%。智慧局指出，研發與申請會有時間落差，但鴻海的智財策略的確有改變，持續推動專利貨幣化，獲得實質受益，一改早期的大量申請，現以改為質量取勝。
根據智慧局統計，第三季發明專利與商標申請雙雙滑落，負成長6%、5%，不過洪淑敏認為，商標下滑是因去年大幅成長，不用太過擔心。去年台廠到日韓歐申請的發明專利突破兩位數成長，且世界經濟論壇（WEF）評比台灣在創新生態體系表現優異，關鍵在專利權數量項目拿下高分，顯見台灣研發能力仍相當充沛。 (新聞來源：自由時報)
