MACHVISION’s net profit after tax for the first half of this year was NT$525 million, exceeding the profit for the whole of last year. As the PCB industry enters the peak demand season in the second half of the year, the company expects to maintain a high growth rate in performance. Challenging annual revenue of NT$3 billion, the company also plans to set up an AI R&D Center, expand the factory to concentrate on production, and start production of industrial smart imaging modules.
Chairman Wang Guang-Shiah pointed out that due to the company’s rapid growth, it is necessary to recruit more R&D talent. Therefore, after the current increase in funds, the company has officially expanded by establishing an AI (Artificial Intelligence) R&D Center with more than 10 personnel. Meanwhile, the existing plant in the northern part of Hsinchu will be acquired or leased to focus on production, and the existing office at the Hsinchu Science-based Industrial Park will become the headquarters to accept orders, and an administrative and R&D Center.
In addition to the market development of existing automatic optical inspection (AOI) equipment for flexible and rigid PCBs and semiconductors, Wang Guang-Shiah stated that MACHVISION will invest in the production of automatic AI optical imaging modules besides whole equipment manufacturing, which will be used intensively in automated equipment, including PCB drilling machines, molding machines, etc. These products will be available early next year. In other words, not only will MACHVISION produce optical inspection equipment, but also further develop various automated equipment, such as module products using optical core technology, supplying them to the equipment industry and assisting with the difficulties of automated equipment being unable to fully obtain the intelligent imaging modules in the past.
