IDC發布《全球半年度區塊鏈支出指南》最新更新顯示，2022年全球區塊鏈解決方案支出預估將達到117億美元。在預測期內，全球區塊鏈支出將以強勁的速度增長，2017-2022年復合年增長率(CAGR)為73.2%。
IDC客戶洞察與分析團隊研究經理Stacey Soohoo表示，區塊鏈的熱情在全世界各地蔓延，企業和組織都在繼續探索該技術的潛在商業應用；全球各國政府都在與企業合作制定政策和相關治理，因此來自監管的擔憂和行業標準繼續成為區塊鏈大規模應用的障礙，跨業務協作和互操作性正成為區塊鍊和分佈式賬本技術發展的關鍵方面。
在市場規模上，預測期內美國仍是全球區塊鏈投資最大的區域，佔全球支出的比重為36%；其後依序為西歐、中國大陸、亞太(不含中國和日本)和加拿大。
從垂直行業規模來看，IDC指出，銀行業仍是全球區塊鏈支出的第一大行業，其次是離散製造、流程製造、零售和專業服務行業，前五大行業區塊鏈支出佔全部支出的比重達到58.4%，行業分佈較為集中。而在應用場景上，跨境支付和結算、產品溯源、貿易金融及交易(後)管理、資產和貨物管理、身份認證等排名較為靠前。 (新聞來源: MoneyDJ新聞)
