Chin Poon sees upturn revenue with increasing production

Date: 2018-02-01

News Type:

Automobile PCB manufacturer Chin Poon is expecting a better season in Q1 this year compared to Q4 of last year, with the inventory clear out of PCB at the customers’ end and a stock buffer prior to the Chinese New Year holidays in February. Chin Poon has planned to increase the capacity of the Changshou factory and seeks the breakeven point of its Thailand factory. When asked, the PCB manufacturer indicated that the expansion has been determined by local demand. Currently, orders from the local market are strong enough, and the space for expansion is ready to generate output accordingly.

With the Taiwan factory the main source of revenue, contributing more than half of the earnings, the Changshou factory accounted for 25% of the revenue. Based on local market demands, a total of 70 million USD is planned for the expansion of production, which will be operational in the latter half of this year or the first half of next year, at the earliest. The output value of the latest investment is expected to be between 2.4 and 2.5 billion NTD with the newly-joined operation running at full capacity. However, the actual production will depend on local demand.

The Thailand factory’s expansion and operation structure improvement has increased with the delisting of Draco, a subsidiary of Chin Poon. The capital expansion of $600 million Thai Baht in August 2017, organizational optimization, and equipment in position have all contributed to better production this year.

Meanwhile, according to statistics, from the increasing $100 – 200 million USD global mobile panel demands every year, Chin Poon aims to get 40 – 80 million USD in new orders each year, setting its own products apart from others through quality manufacturing and new safety zone related applications.
