After expanding the monthly capacity of Xiantao Plant in Hubei by 600,000 feet in the fourth quarter of this year, Tripod Technology Corporation (Tripod), a PCB manufacturer, expects to further expand its capacity in 2018. On December 26, Tripod indicated that the capital expenditure in 2018 will remain NT$4~5 billion, which will primarily go to expanding the capacity of Xiantao Plant.

 

    Tripod is currently the second largest PCB manufacturer in China behind Zhen Ding Tech. Its Xiantao Plant increased its monthly capacity by 600,000 feet in the fourth quarter this year and enjoys a total monthly capacity of 1.8 million square feet. Currently, Tripod has a total monthly capacity of 9 million square feet. According to the director of Tripod, the new capacity of its Xiantao Plant is gradually being used. Tripod will further invest NT$4~5 billion into expanding the capacity of Xiantao Plant next year and expects to increase the monthly capacity by an additional 600,000 feet. (Source: cnYES)
