3GPP公佈第一版5GNR標準規範為2019年商用發展作準備

預計在2018年進入大量測試，並且將於2019年進入商用階段的5G連網技術，稍早終於在葡萄牙里斯本舉辦的3GPP技術規範組織（TSG）無線存取網絡（RAN）全體會員大會中確認第一版5G NR標準規範。
就3GPP公佈第一版5G NR標準規範，將屬於低頻的600MHz，700MHz頻段，以及屬於中頻的3.5GHz頻段，加上屬於高頻的50GHz頻段，訂為提升現有4G LTE連網帶寬為主的過渡時期方案，藉此讓投入5G連網技術發展的廠商能有初步設計參考規範，進而讓對應5G連網技術的通訊芯片，乃至於連接設備與終端裝置能有具體開發方向。
嚴格說起來的話，第一版5G NR標準規範依然會是現有4G LTE設計為基礎，並且加上全新的頻段技術應用，使得連網帶寬能再提高，藉此應持續增加的連網數量需求，因此整體上依然不算是完整的5G連網技術，預期要等相關技術有更成熟發展，才會進入下一波全新5G連網技術發展階段。
就先前市場對於5G連網技術看法，主要是建立在既有4G LTE連網基礎，但會更加著重高頻段及毫米波等全新頻段資源推進，同時也將使連網技術可藉由軟件客制化調整，藉此對應各類連接需求，而非一昧追求高頻段連接使用模式，而是能以更具彈性方式對應不同連網需求（新聞來源：Mashdigi）。
