5G、雲端需求帶動祥碩高速傳輸大成長

5G、雲端運算應用帶動高速傳輸需求大增，高速傳輸接口芯片商祥碩佈局PCIe傳輸芯片2018年進入成長爆發期，受惠於數據中心採PCIe架構帶動祥碩傳輸芯片出貨。
祥碩今年營運成長來自兩大合作夥伴超威及英特爾，其中超威（AMD）新處理器平台Ryzen系列，祥碩為USB 3.1客制化整合型I／O獨家供貨商，由於效能優異， Ryzen處理器今年銷售創下佳績，ODM/OEM廠開案量大增。
展望明年，祥碩與超威多項合作計劃，其中第二代Ryzen處理器明年第1季問世，採用12奈米製程生產；而代號Matisse採用Zen 2架構的處理器，預期將會在明年6月推出；而2018年下半年計劃推出的代號Picasso處理器，則將以今年推行的Raven Ridge系列處理器架構為基礎，效能與電力控制進行優化。
除了超威與英特爾合作之外，著眼於5G及雲端應用需求，祥碩在數據中心持續佈局，由於過去SATA傳輸極限僅到6Gb/s，已走到技術瓶頸，祥碩著手進行更高速傳輸PCIe產品開發。外資表示，祥碩佈局PCIe傳輸芯片挑戰全球前三大廠，佈局服務器PCIe to PCIe高速傳輸接口，可望在2018年見成效。 (新聞來源: 中央社)
