南韓替自駕車開路，砸110 億韓圜打造測試基地K-City
自動駕駛車輛已經是一個既成的事實，汽車產業、科技產業、新創產業都摩拳擦掌投入未來汽車市場，搶占硬件、軟件、服務商機。然而，除了技術需克服，更需要政府的支持，一直走在新科技應用尖端的南韓，大刀闊斧替自駕車開路，為了自駕車測試用，南韓政府花費110 億韓圜（約977 萬美元），打造一個79 英畝的測試場地，整個園區預計2018 年正式開通。
南韓的自動駕駛城市計劃K-City 位於距離首爾32 公里遠的地方，根據南韓媒體Korea Herald 報導，目前已開放4 線道高速公路，此外還有市區、郊區、公共區域，提供35 種不同的駕駛條件，包括收費站、行人和火車軌道交叉口，甚至坑洼和建築工地，以確實模擬自駕車的真實生活狀況，提供三星、SK Telecom、Hyundai、Kia Motors 測試自駕車使用。
南韓產官學界在自動駕駛車產業的動作非常積極，南韓政府希望開放高速公路，將為未來 3 年實現 3 級自主車輛的商業計劃提供支持。 3 級自主車輛定義為駕駛仍必須接手因應系統無力處理的狀況。 (新聞來源:科技新報)
