華邦電在高雄投資3350億新台幣

科技部長陳良基、高雄市長陳菊與華邦電董事長焦佑鈞25日共同舉辦記者會，宣布投資3350億元新台幣在南科高雄園區設立12吋晶圓廠。這筆百億美金的投資案是高雄10多年來最大單一投資案，產生的產業群聚效應，高雄半導體產業將更趨完整。華邦電投資案將創造逾2500個就業機會，令市長陳菊笑開懷，特別感謝科技部協助，華邦電在新加坡祭出許多優惠條件爭取下，仍然選擇投資高雄，深耕台灣，半導體產業聚落拚圖也更趨完整。
華邦電需地25公頃，市府已提出高雄科學園區增設第二園區的需求。陳良基說，產業聚落很重要，會考慮綜效，協助產業佈局，管理局會針對未來10年的土地、水電、空污等都納入考慮，也需要市府協助。他希望高雄的大學院校能配合產業及科技發展，成為科學園區尖端人才庫。
另外，楠梓加工區也處於飽和狀態，目前管理處除積極將老舊廠房進行用地更新外，也同樣尋覓土地擴區或新闢園區，目前已有接洽中油高雄廠區及台糖土地，但尚未有著落。 (新聞來源:中國時報)
