Chin-Poon Industrial Co., Ltd. Struggled to Make a Profit in Q2 but Expected to Pick up in Q3

Chin-Poon Industrial Co., Ltd. (Chin-Poon), an automotive PCB manufacturer, struggled to make a profit in the first half of the year due to the impact of fluctuating exchange rates and the increase in costs of raw materials, and reported a decline in profits compared to the same period in the previous year. Looking toward the third quarter, a boom season, it is expected that revenue will see single-digit growth, coupled with a decrease in the price of copper foil.

In terms of products, as a global automotive PCB manufacturer, Chin-Poon enjoys a global market share of 12%. In addition to medium-level PCBs, Chin-Poon Taiwan also offers high-end products, including brakes, airbags, and drives, allowing the company to distinguish itself from competitors.

In terms of new capacity, Chin-Poon has increased the capacity of the Taoyuan Plant and Draco, its subsidiary in Thailand. After expansion over the past two quarters, the new plant in Taoyuan aims to increase its capacity through debottlenecking this year on a smaller scale. (Source: MoneyDJ - Focus News)
