Advantech is actively attempting to enter the field of intelligence and is focusing on three major markets, intelligent healthcare, retailing and logistics. Furthermore, the impact of the acquisition of Korean medical display manufacturer Advantech Kostec, and its intelligent ward and cloud management platform, will bring the major engines total for promoting the growth of Advantech to six.

The deputy general manager of Advantech’s Service-IoT Group, Ming-Zhi Jiang, has stated that the smart city has become an important issue, while on the other hand, it required a software/hardware system integration, active investment and participation of eco-partners in the industry, corporations, academic institutions and the government to fully promote applications in the field of intelligence. In healthcare, Advantech is striving to promote the smart ward and SRP (Solution Ready Platform) in medical institutions by combining a nursing smart board, console, emergency call system, an intelligent ward solution of patients’ information system and SRP in medical institutions so as to improve the quality of healthcare and reduce the burden of healthcare workers with the “Intelligence” and “Enablement” services.

Furthermore, Advantech Kostec acquired at the beginning of this year is also a major weapon of Advantech to expand into the intelligent healthcare market.  Advantech will depend on the market foundation and techniques which Kostec had created in Korea, Southeast Asia and North America to integrate the Advantech brand with the company’s teams and services in Europe, Great China, Middle East and Australia so as to promote its services in the field of healthcare.

With regards to intelligent retailing, the two major platforms of Advantech are the open innovation platform and the UShop+ cloud management platform.  Advantech has established the open intelligent retailing innovation co-creation platform to create a distributor partner system.  The system can now closely connect many relevant resources, such as cloud services, the software/hardware platform, IT building and system integration, and also integrate various retailing management software to optimize the operation mode for the purpose of helping retailers implement and manage big data analysis.
