Benefiting from the stable growth of the automotive electronics market, and the newly developed Phase 2 production capacity in Taoyuan last year, leader in automotive PCB, Chin Poon Industrial has created a record high in last year’s profits, as foresaw by market projections.  As previously indicated by Chairman Vincent Huang, due to the large demand in global automotive boards and steady market growth leading to increased orders for automotive boards, Chin Poon would be integrating the production capacity of three production plants to build a more promising growth vision.
The Board of Directors of Chin Poon Industrial has also passed the resolution to increase the capital of the subsidiary company in Changshu using profit surplus. The total amount of the capital increase is 30 million US dollars, which would be invested in plant expansion, and the procurement of machinery and equipment following the approval of the Investment Commission, MOEA. With regards to the price increase of the raw materials, Chin Poon Industrial has adopted the necessary response measures, including procurement from other suppliers and the cost transfers. On the other hand, faced with the increased PCB demand of South East Asian markets, Chin Poon Industrial has publicly announced the acquisition of subsidiary Draco shares to 75.61% to expand its business operations in Thailand.
As stressed by Chin Poon Industrial back then, the increase in shareholding of Draco would be beneficial to the expansion of its production in Thailand. With clients from the top twenty automotive electronic plants in the world, the end-user terminal applications are evenly distributed across the US, European and Asian markets. The Company estimates that, with the appropriate cost control in place, the operation would be able to see sustained growth this year, while the actual revenue would depend on the market trend of the New Taiwan Dollar.
