康寧在中國開設第二家LCD玻璃基板工廠
2月16日，康寧公司（GLW）位於重慶兩江新區的液晶顯示（LCD）玻璃基板新工廠正式投產。
這一新廠是康寧在中國大陸設立的第二家LCD玻璃工廠，可為該公司客戶提供8.5代及以上的玻璃基板。康寧還在北京設有一家8.5代LCD玻璃工廠。
康寧顯示科技部全球總經理張錚在投產活動上表示，“重慶在中國的IT和LCD行業具有重要的戰略地位。隨著重慶工廠的建立，我們可實現玻璃供應的當地語系化，並提供區域內的技術和製造支援，為中國面板製造商提供更佳的服務，尤其是中國西南地區的客戶。”
在重慶市政府及地方領導的支持下，康寧於2015年6月宣佈，在重慶兩江新區水土高新技術產業園投資設立一家LCD玻璃新廠。
在當日的投產活動上，康寧大中華區總裁兼總經理李放說道：“重慶工廠的投產標誌著我們在深化中國業務運營方面又邁出了重要的一步。感謝重慶市政府和重慶兩江新區的大力支持，使這一重要投資得以實現。”（新聞來源：介面新聞）
