愛立信：2022年全球5G用戶將達5.5億

行動通訊設備服務商愛立信(Ericsson)發布最新行動趨勢報告，其中指出截至今年第三季為止，全球約有75億行動通訊用戶，到了2022年估計將有89億行動通訊用戶，其中80億使用行動寬帶通訊服務，行動通訊服務將從2G、3G逐漸轉移至4G，2022年將有46億4G用戶，居行動通訊市場主流，剛起飛的5G則有5.5億用戶(下圖，來源：愛立信)。
若以地區來看，北美將領導5G市場的成長，2022年預估有25%的北美地區用戶為5G，亞太地區則是成長第二快的地區，約有10%為5G用戶，西歐約有5%為5G用戶，發展上相對落後的中東及非洲則從2G進展至3G。
愛立信策略暨技術長Ulf Ewaldsson表示，愛立信已觀察到電信營運商已對「預標準化」的5G展現興趣，5G將加速許多產業數字化轉型的腳步，如物聯網、自動化、交通運輸、大數據等應用。 (新聞來源:iThome)
