國際綠能大廠砸千億重金投資彰化
經濟部能源局評定彰化縣擁有離岸21個優質風場，吸引全球兩大離岸風電廠商-加拿大Northland Power Inc.（NPI）及新加坡玉山能源搶進彰化投資佈局，雙雄21日與彰化縣府簽訂三方合作備忘錄。 NPI及玉山能源將攜手於彰化縣砸下新台幣1,570億元重金，將來一年發電量可達50億度，提供150萬戶一年的用電量，是彰化縣總家庭用戶4倍之多。
玉山能源創辦人暨董事長尹和頓表示，玉山能源與NPI的合作，其實是把歐洲相關的離岸風力發展經驗帶來台灣，以符合台灣現在面臨有關再生能源發展的挑戰。加拿大NPI台灣區總經理馬聖安指出，台灣海峽的風力資源豐富，是世界最好的風力資源之一，台灣經濟活絡，台灣企業也能快速學習新的科技、機制，台灣政策具吸引力且政局穩定，提供安全的投資環境，這與NPI發展綠能的願景相符合，也是NPI選擇在彰化發展綠能產業的原因。 (新聞來源:工商時報)
