據大陸媒體報導，友達光電正在為蘋果下一代iPad mini研發新顯示幕。據悉，下一代iPad mini可能採用視網膜顯示幕。而友達光電已經開始進行新一代視網膜螢幕的試生產。業內人士稱，在經歷了數月的產量問題後，友達光電為iPad mini提供的顯示幕數量已經達到100萬塊。(來源：和訊網)
