面板專案推動廣東形成千億元級平板顯示產業集群

據廣州開發區獲悉，此前於該區竣工投產的LG Display廣州8.5代液晶面板專案目前正以每月6萬片玻璃基板的速度進行生產。作為大陸目前技術最先進、生產規模最大、產出效益最高的液晶面板專案之一，LG Display專案將帶動廣東形成千億元級的平板顯示產業集群。
據介紹，該專案總投資約40億美元，是迄今廣州最大的外商投資專案，也是全球最大面板企業LG Display在本土之外的首個面板工廠。據介紹，該工廠主要生產55英寸、49英寸、42英寸電視大中型超高清及全高清液晶面板產品，目前以每月6萬片玻璃基板的速度啟動生產，到2016年滿產階段，每月產能將達到12萬片。
據悉，廣州開發區是珠三角積體電路產品的中心區域之一，區內成立了TFT—LCD產業及技術創新聯盟，現有平板顯示相關會員企業30多家，並集聚了眾多大型電子資訊製造企業和平板器件製造企業，已形成與TFT—LCD產業發展相配套的優質產業群，平板顯示產業前景廣闊。（新聞來源：新華網）
