明導歷時6年，將PCB設計工具3D化

PCB市場在系統整合領域一直都是相當重要的一環，而電子產品不斷整合功能甚至是縮小系統面積時，這對於PCB相關的電路佈局一直都是一個無法克服的挑戰。因此PCB專用的設計軟體領域也一直是EDA業者們所競逐的市場。有鑑於此，明導國際系統設計事業部研發總監Charles Pfeil談到，明導新款的PCB工具可謂是劃世紀的產品線，開發超過六年的時間完成，新款的PCB工具「Xpedition PCB」，也同時將品質因素考慮進去，以避免量產問題發生，而在設計速度上，亦有相當顯著的提升。同時 Xpedition PCB也考慮到機械CAD的設計需求，並將電路佈局加以「3D」化，透過這種方式，可以有效與機械設計人員進行無縫隙的溝通，主要原因在於，許多終端系統設計都會與機械作動有極為密切的關係，在系統完成設計後，可將其檔案轉成CAD軟體所需要的格式。此外，不論是在2D或是3D的環境下，設計者只要更動任一設計或是佈局，都可以即時更新，大幅提升便利性。(來源：CTIMES)
