         N. T. Information (Japan) published its ranking of the world’s top 30 automotive PCB manufacturers in 2016 just a few days ago. Chin-Poon Industrial Co., Ltd. (Chin-Poon) was once again ranked No. 1, while Dynamic Electronics Co., Ltd. and Nan Ya Printed Circuit Board Co., Ltd. were on the list for the first time. N. T. Information publishes the world’s top automotive PCB manufacturers every year. Among the world’s top 20 automotive PCB manufacturers in 2016, Chin-Poon, Tripod, WUS and WUS Group, Unitech, Nan Ya, Dynamic, HannStar Board, GBM, and Unimicron were ranked No. 1, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 18, respectively. In particular, Tripod enjoyed excellent performance, showing two-digit growth.

The 2017 TPCA Show just ended, and Dr. H. Nakahara, President of N. T. Information, stayed in Taiwan for many days, saying, “I believe that nearly 40% of the world’s automotive PCBs are manufactured by Taiwanese manufacturers, followed by top Japanese automotive PCB manufacturers”.

Chin-Poon has been the leader of the world’s automotive PCB manufacturers in recent years, followed by Tripod and Unitech, all of which pursued the opportunities related to advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Chin-Poon indicated that automotive PCB accounted for 75% of total revenue in the first half of 2017 and expected the same throughout the year. For Tripod, automotive PCB accounted for 21.4% of its total revenue in Q117 and 21% in Q217 and is expected to exceed 20% throughout the year. Unitech emphasized that automotive PCB is expected to account for more than 30% of its revenue in 2017 and that the high-frequency boards related to ADAS accounted for 13% in Q317, both of which have contributed to its profit in the second half of 2017.

WUS and WUS Group, which is located in Kun Shan and whose shares WUS holds 13.23%, have enjoyed significant growth in recent years. In the first half of 2017, WUS Group enjoyed a year-on-year growth of 12.72%, including the stable supply of battery management systems (BMS) and 24GHz radars. (Source: Commercial Times)
