Zhen Ding Tech, the global leader in PCB manufacturing, saw its June revenue increase to NT$8.05 billion, a month-on month growth of 18.6% and a year-on year growth of 25.6%. There were record highs during the same periods in the previous year. Zhen Ding Tech has reaffirmed its optimistic outlook for the second half of the year, predicting an increase in operations from month to month until October at least.

Zhen Ding Tech’s revenue for the first half of the year was NT$43.425 billion, with an annual growth of about 30.6%. Looking to the future, the company believes that Q2 sales had already hit rock bottom this year and the overall quarterly decline is about the same as last year. Although the overall environment is not too optimistic, the company continues to pursue growth. As previously predicted by Zhen Ding Tech, the market demand in July was better than June. Regarding the market focus on the impact of the US-China trade war to tax more goods, Zhen Ding Tech also specially emphasizes that mobile phone related components are not included in the tariff list, and that the US revenue statistics are based on customer registration locations and not on shipping locations, so the company is not affected by the rumor of a 25% tariff, as most of its shipments are done in China and Asia.

As for the foreign exchange risk control, Zhen Ding Tech has mentioned that its main concern is the status of the US dollar against the renminbi, and the US dollar against the new Taiwan dollar. The impact is stronger when the renminbi appreciates more. In such a case, the company will take advantage to hedge, meaning that when the renminbi appreciates, it will hold its position to hedge longer, and vice versa when the US dollar appreciates more. Meanwhile, the recent weakening of the RMB against the US dollar has improved the overall situation. (News source: Economic Daily News)
