Nan Ya Plastics, a subsidiary of Formosa Plastics Group, officially settled in Shiwan Township of Boluo County in 2001, with a total investment amount of US$44 million over an area of 500,000 square meters. In recent years, the rapid development of AI and the electric automobile industry has helped bring about the high-speed development of the electronic material trade under the flag of Nan Ya Plastics, as these factories have always been fully loaded with production. In 2017, the company revenue reached RMB$2.7 billion and is expected to reach RMB $3.3 billion in 2018. To accommodate the demands for electronic infrastructure materials in the southern China market, the group has decided to further increase investments by US$42 million in Huizhou to build a copper foil substrate and glass-fiber cloth factory. Once these factories are ready for production, the annual production scale of the copper foil substrate should reach 113.2 million pieces, while that of the glass fiber cloth should reach 102 million meters.
